Relativistic optics

Brief Description for General Publications

We use the relativistic raytracer "Backlight", developed at ANU, to produce TV quality educational videos. These videos will be distributed as DVDs in association with the World Year of PHysics 2005. The videos have been created by ANU PhB students as part of their coursework. The National Facility is needed because each minute of video can take several hundred hours of computer time to render.
