SkyMapper and the Southern Sky Survey

Brief Description for General Publications

The Mt. Stromlo Southern Sky Survey will survey the entire southern sky over five years starting in early-2010. The data will be collected by the purpose-built SkyMapper telescope. Data will be transfered to APAC ANU where it will be processed and made available via the web. The Survey data will be used for numerous scientific programs and will form a component of a vast array of studies for external users.
